Commercial Bricklaying Estimator

Victorian Bricklaying & Masonry is a trusted leader in commercial bricklaying and masonry works across Victoria, known for our quality craftsmanship, reliable service, and strong client relationships. We’re seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join our team — with flexible options to work part-time, remotely, or in a hybrid capacity.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Estimator with a background in bricklaying, masonry, or commercial construction to play a key role in our continued growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and submitting estimates for commercial and maintenance bricklaying projects.
Providing costings for variations and additional works.
Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications.
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.
Conducting site inspections and attending stakeholder meetings (as required).
Preparing handover documentation for project setup and planning.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project partners.
Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities with new and existing clients.
About You
You’re a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong estimating experience and a solid understanding of commercial construction. You take pride in accuracy, quality, and communication — ensuring every estimate supports both the client’s needs and project success.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Estimator in commercial construction or bricklaying.
Degree qualification or relevant trade background.
Proven ability to price small to medium commercial projects accurately.
Strong skills in reading and interpreting architectural drawings.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Well-organised, able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
High numeracy and computer literacy (MS Project proficiency essential; Cubit experience advantageous).
Current driver’s licence.
